Hello, so I was browsing the internet looking for some headlights, as everyone does. I came across a set of headlights and taillights, which is good because I would like to replace my tail lights as well. But the set says that it only works for Tacomas that have LED DRL's. My Tacoma does not have LED DRL's. Does this mean that I can not buy this set? What is the difference between the two? I wouldn't mind having LED DRL's though, because the Orange does not look as slick. Thank you.

From what I know, sr and some sr5 Tacoma’s have halogen drl that are also the turn signal. Halogen turn signals use the resistance of the bulb to “blink” and not hyper flash. Leds cannot produce the same amount of resistance a halogen bulb can produce unless you add a resistor and this is how your led bulb flickers or hyper flashes too fast.

I also considered led and looked into it and found that if your truck isn’t made for led then it would require a bit more work.
