Hopefully have it back later this afternoon! But something I found interesting, however its not at all related to the spring tsb, lol. When the dealer was giving me a ride home from dropping it off, he was telling me that out of the first 2.5 million vehicles recalled under the gas pedal fiasco, only 13 vehicles have actually "needed" the work done. Although I dont know what constitutes "need" in this case or how its determined, it sounds plausible and if true, really shows how big of an attention whore the media is.

What that tells me is that 13 vehicles were indeed destined to fail, 13 sounds like a small number until you start talking potential lives lost and then it becomes a big number.

I'm not downplaying the potential casualties. Anybody can argue that even 1 would be too many, but put 13 in to perspective for a second. 13 out of 2,500,000. Thats a drop in the bucket. If my math is correct, thats 1 out of every 192,307. I'm no gambler, but I'd take those odds any day.
