What is the item that is attached to the back of the tray (closest to the firewall)? Was it originally located at the two holes in the side of the fender near the top that the tray now attaches to?

Yes. That is the fuel resistor. It simply swivels 90 degrees and mounts to the new tray.

This tray is designed for vehicles with ATRAC. The ATRAC models do not have that unit. Im sorry. A dual tray that mounts in the location of the factory battery is coming soon for folks without ATRAC.

It is attached via wires from the factory harness. The wires have just enough play to move it to my new location.

Just wondering if you would include in this kit a solor panel / controller to charge these dual batteries.

Right now I don't have any sources for those devices but I fully plan to expand to that arena in the near future. Lots of good products out there that can be added fairly easily though.

Overland Solar, I have seen those panels in action. At Desert Rendezvous couple weeks back saw these panels power everything in a tacoma including lights, batteries, ARB fridge without a hiccup. Great quality. With the group buy going on until Sunday it makes it much more affordable.

You absolutely can. I just replied to your email with the link.

Although the tray, tiedown, and price have changed since then. The trays are now TIG welded together instead of bent. The tiedowns are now 3D machined aluminum instead of 2D Waterjet cut.

    Hence the price increases

Sounds good haven't got it yet. I don't need anything to fancy. I'm no overlander just a huge bass head and stereo guy who likes to run music in the desert loud. So the tray is perfect. Any thoughts on bypassing the auxiliary switch in the 3rd gen? It shuts off every 20 min. Assuming it's the computer??? Basically I want a boat stereo ina 3rd gen lol.

No big deal. What about my issue of keeping the accessories on without using the timed out push to start button?

Any accessories hardwired to the auxiliary battery will stay on for as long as you want them on... because they are hardwired. As far as bypassing factory features in order to use the factory battery longer, I know nothing of doing that on the 3rd Gen, Im sorry.
