^I still have mine in the garage. Nobody wanted them for even $100. Maybe I'll make a swing set with them...or maybe start a go kart track...

Kinda strange, but I have over 35,000 miles in the stock dunlops and rotate them every 15,000 miles. Still have over 1/2 tread left. They do suck in snow but in 4wd and sensible driving they do just fine. And I haul/tow lots of weight which make tires wear even quicker. I bet these tires will last 60,000-70,000 miles.

interesting but I found the Dunlops to be pretty good in the snow.

However in the rain they are just horrible! I can't climb the smallest of hills without loosing traction. One one hill I had to engage 4x4 just to make it up. After summer they're gone.

They're garbage. Wait until someone cuts you off in the rain and you have to make a panic stop and you keep going. Tell me then how wonderful those Dunlops are. The fact is, you've been lucky.

Having to drive through chicago, indy, and other cities quite frequently i've had my share of panic stops. I even pulled a 80,000lb. semi out of my loading dock this winter, 4LO and out she came. Adjusting air pressures to conditions and loads makes a world of difference.

I saw what you tow in the what you tow thread, using the stock dunlops doing that is pretty impressive. I use my tacoma towing in the winter/mtns & went to dedicated snow. Glad somebody reports good results with these tires!

I'm not buying it. You can adjust the air pressure all you want but that can't account for the horrible tread. What air pressure would you suggest for daily driving? OEM recommended pressure, right? That's exactly where mine were and they were horrible. Right into an intersection when someone turned in front of me. And I've driven everywhere, including 29 years of some of the worst driving you can imagine (NJ).

In summary, there's a reason they're at the bottom of the ratings on Tire Rack and it isn't because they're a good tire.

but if the other poster regularly carries heavy loads (like his trailer), maybe the tires are better than we are seeing... cause what *I'm* seeing, Dunlop should be ashamed of!

Hey, if they work for him, more power to him. He's definitely in a tiny minority, though.

Those tires are so bad that every time I see another truck with them I shudder.

No problems here with the stock Dunlops. I've been through a couple shitty winters in Calgary, and they are fine in the snow. Haven't had any problems with them in the rain either.

    Hockey and maple syrup. Thanks.

Actually, there's a bunch of Canadians in town here all winter. Thoroughly enjoy their company.

Dont get me wrong, i'm not saying they are good or great tires by any means, i'm just stating in my experiences that they do the job of an oem tire. I would never replace these with the same tire, but I dont mind wearing them down until they need replacing. One thing to keep in mind is that I have a 4cyl and drive like I have a 4cyl too, i'm sure the 6 is a whole different power level. More power= less traction.

As far as replacement tires the goodyear G933 is my choice, should easily last 100K miles and eliminate the sidewall sway with passenger car tires in a truck.

So on my last truck service, i ordered an alignment because of the tire screeching and it took care of it for a couple of weeks, but now about 3 months from that, the tires keep screeching, not only that seems like my copilot front tire is wearing more than the driver side fron one, its wearing more on the outer corner sort of speak..... i want to go to the dealership so i can tell them what a shitty alignment they've done....... my tires are at 30-32 psi the sticker says 29

Took the Dunlaps off right away and put on Michelin LTX. Sold the factory tires in the local penny saver type paper for $150, had tons of calls , should have asked for more.
