Have a 2010 DC TRD with the JBL audio. Need to add DVD to the rear for the kids. I don't have a problem with changing out the head unit if all steering wheel controls will still work, including blue tooth. I don't think there is enough room on the roof for a flip down even though I've seen the thread where some did it. This means I'll have to use the headrests. At least with the headrests, I can get some quality screens. What are my options other than a cheap screen/player combo?

the bluetooth and steering wheel controls will not function without additional adapters on another head unit, i doubt bluetooth will work with any other head unit

Most eclipse brand head units will allow you to use the steering wheel functions with just using the wiring harness, now if it lets you use the bluetooth, I have not heard if that works.
