I bought an OEM Offroad grill from ebay, barely used. Got it sandblasted and coated. I dont want to plastidip.

I put the chrome emblem back in the grill. The more I looked at it, the more I wanted that "stock" look

Review of the phillips crystal view ultra

From the drivers seat, they look like HIDs. I've owned an audi S5 before this and yes it does look comparable. Not as bright, however, the color was pretty much the same. I don't think the projectors allow them to be "wider" as described. I am happy with them. Will buy again. I really don't want HIDs

Here they are installed. Sorry, no before picture.

Same color as my Audi. Just not as bright. But they don't look the same color when you look at them from the outside.

Installed the rear Icon shocks. Why would toyota get rid of the old style shock tops where you'd use a hex to keep it from spinning?? It made the install slightly harder than it should be.

This one was a PITA because it was spinning when the nut covered the only part to hold it. Vice grips FTW.:goingcrazy:

    Installed!

I'll report back on the ride. Front coilovers will go on soon.

Installed the front coilovers. Had to adjust it twice to get it to sit level.

Also installed the OEM Door sill protectors

debating if i wanna get the black out kit for the emblems. i plastidipped mine and did a poor job. the V6 logo i did quite a few coats and it still got a bit of chrome showing. one tacoma badge i did twice, and even teh second time it still sucked..... makes me wonder about the plastidip, made sure to shake it a lot, but it seems runny still even shaking it for minutes. tried doing light coats.

but i dont really like how the overlays have a filled in A. could you show a close up pic of the tacoma overlays from straight on? you have one pic but its sorta pixelated from being far back, or they are all at an angle.

Do it right or don't do it at all. And I think that doing it right is:
    Toyota OEM badges
    Nox Lux

Let me know how these look. I'll take some more tomorrow if needed.

Had the same problem when doing mine. so I cut the top bolts with a angle grinder on both sides.

That was last resort. My truck has only ~700 miles. I didn't want to mess up the OEM equipment just yet!

i did see those pics, but i just wasnt 100% sure, the A's do not have holes in them correct? i thought it might have just been an illusion or something i dunno I'm dumb hah. i think I might just buy the nox lux overlays. they look pretty thin which is nice.

How did you apply the oem door sill protectors? Did you use soapy water to slide it into place and squeegy out the water? Or did you just go for it? I tried to do it without the soap water but can't get it to slide under the rubber seal without catching the adhesive prematurely.

Just went for it. The passenger side is a little funky. But the rest are perfect.
