Hey guys, I have a 2017 without a locker... does anyone know if there is one aftermarket e locker? There is a rear end with a locker from a 16 trd at a junkyard nearby.... not sure if I should just swap the whole thing on a brand new truck

Do homework on the ARB air locker, it's the only rear locker solution worth looking at.

The Toyota Elocker is an OEM style and a huge headache to activate when you need it. It works but not even close to the usefulness of the ARB locker.

ARB air lockers are a great option. I've had one on my Wrangler for over 25 years. Just have to keep up with maintenance, compressor filter, dinky plastic air hoses, etc if you want it to work when you need it.

Really is annoying that I cannot get a locker on a manual x-mission in the US. More money for ARB since Toyota does not want it. Edited to include long bed. Sorry for the lack of detailed info.

Why Not? All Off Roads and Pro's have the Locker from the Factory

yeah, i should have added 2 door to my original post. Guess I will have to settle for 2 door sport manual and buy some air lockers. I am still on the fence and that new 4 cylinder Rubicon that is coming looks good as well. I may just tell Toyota to shove that sealed transmission where the sun does not shine and get a vehicle with solid front and rear axles, locking front and rear diffs for the same price. The new JL looks good on paper.

The Access Cab is not technically a 2 door because the rear doors reverse open but i understand what you mean. I had to have a Manual Off Road so Double Cab Short Bed was my only choice.

As others said, ARB is your best bet, but the one at the junkyard could save you $$$$$ and a ton of hassle depending on price. Changing an axle is super easy, fitting a locker can be a pain. As for the wiring, I haven't tested this, but I believe activating the Toyota solenoid is a simple 2 wire connection, and all others can be ignored (engaging sensor). So just run 12v to it from a switch on the dash, and you'll be done.

I'm getting a limited. Coming from a gen 2 sport with a limited slip option. So if you turn off vsc and turn on the electronic ( brake ) lsd how fast can you go like this? What is the low speed use they specify? Thanks
