Cool, I'll check it after home from work. I did check both fuse boxes & saw it in neither, unless I hugely overlooked it in the one under the hood.

It says TAIL 10A, but in the manual it says its also for the dash illumination etc.

Well that's the one I'm already in then. I thought there was one that would dim with the rest of the gauges like tappin that particular wire in the harness but I'm cool with it staying on when dimming the dash cause I don't ever do that anyway. Cool, thanks for confirming that..........

What amp fuse did you use for the fogs? I put a 10 in for the tails & a 20 for the fogs. Would it be better to just run a 10 for the fogs too? I may be doing h10 35w 5000k HIDs in the fogs at some point since I have projectors for lo beams.

you a right! it dosen't dim, hadn't noticed!!! damn

thinking about it, its better that it does not dim, the way I installed it since the wire that lights up the switch is also the same wire that gives current to the relay (when on/off switch is on), if you dim the lights and your foglights are on, you will cut power to the relay and the foglights will turn off. If you want it to dim you would have to find another fuse to feed the relay when the on/off switch is on.

Not gonna bother, it's just fine how it is. Thanks for the writeup. I don't like doing wiring, only like being done with wiring, lol. Tedious crap for it not to become a mess but worth the extra attention to detail in the end. Clean & nice, try not to splice.

Well it took a LOT longer than the initial 90 minutes I first figured, but they're in and they work. Used the 10A 'tail' fuse socket to tap for the lights; the fogs come on with highs, lows or parking lights. Got 'em wired to an OEM switch (it lights up when parking lights are on, but the illumination does not change when fogs come on) and also utilized the 'kit' wiring harness. Had to lengthen the switch leads because I elected to keep my relay and fuse assemblies inside my engine compartment. I am very pleased with this installation and must give MANY thanks to EPA4wd (and others) whose tutorials and pictures enabled me to get this done. ALSO thanks to TW.com for a GREAT forum!!:D

This thread has been a lot of help. I bought the same kit from the same guys. My question is how did you hook up that weird brown/maroon connector to the battery? Did you just remove the connector attach one that will fit under the screw? Thanks.

I removed the plastic brown/maroon casing revealing the white wire and it's bare connection. I plugged/connected the white wire directly into an open connection in the fuse box located under the hood, behind the battery.

I selected one that was hot when the ignition was "on", as to not drain the battery if left on. I believe the connection I used was towards the front of the vehicle, so while standing on the side of the truck (leaning on the driver side fender) the connection was on the left side of the fuse box. I will take a picture later and post it.

No it doesn't because when it's hooked straight to the battery with the other lead hooked to the tail fuse, you cannot get out of the truck without any or all the lights going off even if you leave the column switch turned on. Parking/Headlight/Tail circuit is already foolproof as far as draining the battery if forgetting to turn switch off.

Thanks for the help guys. I'd really appreciate a picture. I just don't want to put it into the wrong spot. Perhaps its just easier to hook it up directly to the battery? Whats the benefit of going to the fusebox? Isn't it going to turn off when the car turns off anyhow because the switch is wired with an add-a-circuit to the light fuse?

Check out the how-to back up top for pics. It's just as easy to hook it up either way. If you hook it up to something other than the tail fuse then it could operate independent of all other lighting. That's the only difference. But it could be left on & drain the battery that way. Just a preference thing.
