    Feed a fine with wire into the axle hole. See if you can bend that wire to come out the drain hole. Now use your finger to position the lost part over the drain hole. Put a long hook in the wire and try to “catch” the threaded hole in the lost part, and then pull the wire back out the drain hole, and axle hole, hopefully with the part in tow.

    Fine I'll tell you the plastic fork trick. Two inside get bent in. Maybe 25*. Spread outsides so it can't go in the threaded hole. Push up and move it til the inner ones go in the hole. You'll get it from there...
