Hi Gents, looks like Fujitsu fully ended support of this unit on April 2019. I've had my unit since 2010 but it was in storage for last 6 years. I just put it in a diff car and was trying to change the wallpaper with no success. I was hoping one of you guys might be able to help as this thread has the most information on AVN726 on the web.

i followed instructions and created .bmp file with correct pixel size and CMS.txt file and burned it onto CD.
Very first time i tried to update it; i turned the unit on, opened the CD, inserted CD and hit "i agree" it took me to blue menu screen and it looked like it was reading different information (see photo below). After couple of minutes nothing happened.
I turned the unit off and on again with CD inside hoping it will re-attempt install by itself but this time around the unit restarts itself about half minute after i fired it up. See Video Here.
I then realized that my .bmp file was in 24-bit format so i created a new CD with 8 bit .bmp picture and tried again. However, this time same thing happens! I start the unit, insert CD and unit restarts shortly after.. once it comes back on again, it will stay on until i turn ignition off. Not sure what is going on and wanted to see if you can provide some guidance? Perhaps because i burned the CD on the mac? Although i created the image on a PC? See image showing 8 bites on PC, based on info on this thread it was done correctly, just doesnt work :(

I read on here many tried several times but didn't work then finally after uploading the correct .bmp in correct format it worked.. what's throwing me off this restart thing.. and it doesn't look like its reading it.. just hear it spin for few seconds initially when CD is inserted.

Greatly appreciate any help you guys could offer!

update, I figured it out. I'll leave my post above in case others encounter a similar issue. The problem for me was burning the disk on MAC although I used files from PC that I made, go figure.. (saved jpg to bmp in paint as 256 colors bmp which is 8 bit). After I burned the same files on PC the upload worked. I basically turned the unit on, went to main menu, opened the CD slot, inserted CD, it took few seconds to say its updating and then few sec later it said "completed". Voila!!
