ECT PWR Switch Extension Harness with Dash Light Pigtail

The 30" harness shown below is plug-and-play with not cutting of factory wires - simply unplug the ECT PWR switch, plug the extension harness into the factory harness, route the extension harness to the drivers side and plug in the ECT PWR switch. Also, tap off of the provided dash illumination pigtails (power & variable ground).

Also, on the dash illumination pigtail, what is that for? If I added a different switch to tap into? If I’m only moving the ECT can I just tape those off and it will still dim and everything like normal?

 

Yes, you can simply tape them off and all will be fine. The pigtails provided dimmable led power to switch when the headlights are on.

If I already have one of your earlier versions, what color wire would I need to tap into for the variable ground?

 

Sorry I didn't include this ground wire in the earlier version.

That first classy taco's link does not work (for me) and I cannot find the ECT video on their page. Do you have any pics of where folks are moving the switch?

Any chance you make an extension for the rear power window? I want it on the driver side like my old trd.

 

If you could take a few pics of the connector that plugs into the switch along with the part number on the connector I'll see if I can source it. Some of the Tacoma switches are a challenge because connectors are only available in female.

ECT PWR Switch Extension Harness with Dash Light Pigtail

I don't use the ECT PWR switch often (mostly when towing our boat or jet ski) but when I want to use it I'd prefer it in a more convenient, visible, location. My solution was to relocate it to furthest left on the drivers side - higher, more visible, and easier to reach. My secondary motivation is to free up buttons locations for future option switches.


Auto High Beam \ ECT PWR Button Jumper with Dash Light Pigtail

This plug-and-play mod simply provides an auxiliary dash illumination power source for future option buttons. Simply plug in the jumper harness into either the Auto High Beam or ECT PWR buttons and tap off of the provided dash illumination pigtails (power & variable ground).


ECT PWR Switch Y-Adapter

This Y adapter allows you to connect the factory ECT PWR Switch and a third-party ECT shifter know button. I have sold quite a few and have received positive feedback.
