Picked up a nail in my front driver side tire and the tire guy fix it for me and while he was at it to rotate the tires and now I have a RIDICULOUS front end wobble! I was going to replace the shocks and tires anyway as it is time but I worry that this shaking crap may never leave again as I've read many horror stories on here about the dreaded front end wobble. Has anyone ever solved this problem properly and permanently? I have zero intention of throwing money down a rabbit hole here. Thanks for your time.....Bob

Yep. He probably forgot to balance that tire or a weight might have fallen off during the rotation. It happens.

I'm talking about the notorious Tacoma front wobble here. There used to be a sticky about this problem that was a thousand pages long but it's gone now. I've had a slight shake on this truck (08 access cab) since I bought it a few years ago but it went ballistic after the rotation. Truck has 80,000 miles now and it's time for shocks and tires anyway but I wanted to know if the actual shaking issue had ever been resolved. I remember it takes a hub centric balancer to balance the tires properly or it will wobble with brand new tires also. Some guys have had the wobble right off the showroom floor and THOSE are the guys I want to hear from to hear if and how they resolved that issue....

x3. If all being equal and just rotating the tires made it worse, you may have an out of round wheel to begin with coupled now with worn tires. Try having it road force balance.

Some people have fixed the vibrations and some have not. Your situation with the immediate vibration after visiting the shop is probably like everyone else here is saying. Tire balance.

Haweka adapter and road force balancing will solve your frustration.

It's probably a bad balance when they did the rotation. Other possibilities are warped brake rotors (the wobble would happen when braking) or bent wheels.
I went through the front end wobble but was solved when I discovered that the brake rotors were warped and I had a couple bent wheels, I replaced with vented rotors and new wheels.

Thanks for the input gentlemen! I'll update in two weeks as I'm going to replace the shocks and struts with Bilstein 5100's and put on some new tires as well. Hopefully all goes well and there is no shimmy or shake when all is said and done.

Btw...What is this Haweka adapter that was mentioned earlier?

    Thanks again.....Bob
