I am going to put 5100's all around on when they replace my frame. I am planning on putting them on the highest setting to keep my tires from rubbing. Is it ok to run them with the stock coils or should I put Eibachs on? If I do replace the coils, will I have to do anything to the rear suspension?

yea its ok to run them at 2.5 with the stock coils thats what im doing now and the ride is pretty good. but pretty soon im going to get the ebiach coils to get a little more lift and im sure im springs are sagging. i would go ahead and put them on while your replacing them anyway.

I might as well get it done for free while they have everything apart since I have very little mechanic ability. With new coils would I have to do anything to the rear suspension? I do not want a higher front end and I am not wanting to get into a lot of expense on this.

ive heard bilstein wont warranty the shocks if they are paried with ome springs because they have never tested them. but they say they will still warranty the 5100s with ebiachs becasue they have tested the and proven that they can be paried. i may ne wrong but i think i remember reading that some where

i would at least put a 2inch aal in the rear to help level the truck out a little

X2 you probably went with a lower spring rate that's why they feel softer. The Eibachs have a 620lb spring rate and that's stiff for most guys I'm installing a plate bumper and winch so I want stiff springs.

Looks good jerry! Have you noticed any wear or parts breaking because of the lift?

No breaking but I have noticed marks on my upper CV boots from the fins touching. I don't thinks it's that big of a issue it's just a clean ring on the boot where rubber has contacted rubber. If I do ware out a boot I don't think it's going to be anytime soon.

so to fix that you'd just get a diff drop kit right?

also what size of tires where you running before the new huge ones?

and one more thing, did you just put in the Bilstein 5150s in the back with nothing else at first? or did you use a aal?

    thanks man

I have 5100's with Eibach coils and love the ride. Then again, I have an aftermarket bumper so I have a bit of weight up front. It'll ride even better after the winch goes in :)
