Had the Stage 1 on my last truck that was a 2007 and loved it. Luckily I never had vibrations but it also may have been because I had a single cab. (I’m not sure if that’s a legit reason I would not have had vibes but multiple threads with single cabs said they never had the issue either.)

Regardless I have a 2018 DCSB now and am lookin into these coilovers. I’m sold on everyone’s testimony on how well they ride even over the stage 1 set up but wanted to ask if anyone has had issues with any vibrations after putting these in. I understand most of the time if you you keep it under 2.5 it’s should be good but I’m just curious.

    Thanks!

No unfortunately adding lift doesnt gain you the clearance you'll need. The cab mount chop and beating the pinch weld flat will still be necessary

Oh man gettin antsy, just waiting on the spanner wrench. I got my 2.0'ss from tire rack for $800 /set before they jumped to $930. Ended up also getting my rears from them as well, $175 /set. Got JBA's ECGS bushing and HS 1.5 AAL.

Gonna be running stock wheels for now...dang +25 offset tho! Pretty much set on 265/75-16 although rly kicked around the skinnies (255/85) but worried abt too much of a performance hit.

    So stoked!

Sounds like a great set up, may need some wheel spacers if your running stock wheels though. JBA recommends at least a -10 or -12 I believe.

Yeah for sure, although I believe if I go with the 265/75 I should be ok per their site,

. I did pick up some spidertrax spacers in case I need em temporarily. Bora was like 3+ weeks out.

Alright so due to the next 2 weekends being booked I installed all my stuff today. There were 2 of us each working a side until it came to the ECGS bushing then we teamed up until it was done and resumed out separate duties.

Work consisted of coilovers, JBA uca's, ECGS bushing, headstrong 1.5" aal's and rear shocks. There were many breaks and review although no lunch or beers.

I wanted to wait until I got the spanner wrench in and thought I could muster through using the provided adjustment rod and like others found this to be a fail. I'm going to see if the custom alignment shop has a spanner that will work and if they would be up to dialing them in before aligning. (The guy I spoke to told me they build custom rigs and suspension so maybe)

All in all it went well. The the fenderwell bending for the driver side uca bolt sucked. Coilovers went right in and look great. Seems my measurements are currently like 1.5" shorter on the driver side front vs passenger but of course there has been no adjustment and I just drive it to the end of the street and back. I'll re-measure everything tomorrow in the light as I drove home about 12 miles.

Drive home was great. No pulling or wandering. Like others I can feel the difference in handling and even though it's not perfect yet I'm pleased. Currently have the stock wheels/tires although have 265/75-16 wildpeak's and some 16x8 -10 wheels on the way. (Back to second guessing going with 255/85's!)

I read or heard somewhere that the Eibach 2.0 Coilovers come with a swaybar relocation kit. Does anyone know if it’s true and if it’s even needed?

Mine did. To be honest not exactly sure if it's needed, it does give you more room to work with though.

I'm not sure if mine did or not tbh since Eibach had the box ready for install but like @PThy said, there's plenty of clearance between the sway and the shock body. I'll try and grab a pix tomorrow but from what I remember, there's like a good 0.5" gap between the sway and the shock body

I just installed my coilovers this last weekend and it did come with the drop down kit for the sway bar. On the site there are 2 pdf install instructions and one is for the stabilizer relocation kit part #8001192.1. I'm glad I opened the box before I ordered one separately.

After looking at the many, many 2-3" kits, I opted to purchase the Eibach coilover 2.0 kit for my '21 Off Road. Found a site that had front coilovers plus the Eibach rear shocks (sway bar relocation kit included, too), in stock ($995 +tax free shipping). Had it in hand the next day. Needless to say, I was pleased with that service. Icon AAL's ordered separately, also came in quickly. Ready to go.

I placed the order for 17" wheels and 275's (BFG's) and 285's (Falkens) for size test with Discount Tire as I don't want to cut the frame up (yet... maybe a few years down the road). Everything came in, made an appointment for a shop to install the lift for today (I'm not laying on my garage floor when it's 0 degrees - waaaay worth it for a shop to do it). Shop was going to install this morning, align this afternoon, and out the door by 3pm. Wheels and tires appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning with a follow-up retorque and alignment adjust with the shop in two weeks. Since the wife has the other form of winter transportation, I opted to not go into work today and tomorrow to get all of this squared. Here's the problem...

Eibach must have missed that the incorrect top hat was installed on one of the coils, so they can't finish the install today. Eibach is overnighting the correct part, but it pushes back on the shop to finish tomorrow afternoon, which means no wheels and tires tomorrow since DT is booked up. I then go back to work for a few days to an insane schedule, so it really messes things up. All was choreographed around the simplicity of this system's install. Needless to say, I'm disappointed that such an easy order came in incorrectly. It raises questions about quality control in other aspects as well. With this being my first experience with Eibach, I'm not real pleased. Has anyone had any issues with their customer service, products, QC, etc..., or is my first experience with them just happening to be a "one-off" bad experience?

I'll certainly report back with how the system rides once it's all together.

Doc, sorry to here about your debacle. Very frustrating to say the least.

My experience with Eibach has been great. I ordered the coilover 2.0 with rear shocks directly from Eibach. Fast shipping and at the time a better deal than their website showed. Tanner has always been helpful on the phone with the initial order and any follow up questions. Them overnighting the part shows some good faith, but frustrating nonetheless. Seems like it slipped through QC. $hit happens, sorry it happened to you.

You’re 100% correct - I spoke with Tanner before ordering the kit and he walked me through the pros and cons of the 2.0 vs. the original pro lift. It was mostly that conversation that lead me to purchasing the 2.0 kit from Eibach and he was extremely patient and helpful. Yes, it’s frustrating as soooo much went into the timing of getting this completed in this window. Hopefully this is the worst problem I experience with them and all will be well shortly. Just really grinds my gears when simple things like this derail a plan. I’ve also been told I’m a bit too neurotic about things not going to plan so there’s a high likelihood my expectations are just too high.

    Ordered from here: https://www.stage3motorsports.com/1...-tacoma-eibach-20-stage-1-suspension-kit.html
Shows 3 in stock. That’s the coilovers and rear shock package. I ordered the Icon AAL via a distributor on Amazon. Amazon was fast, but the Eibach parts came to me faster! I believe I spoke with Mark at Stage 3, and the package came from a warehouse in Kentucky. Being in Illinois, it arrived next day.

Man that's a bummer. I made sure and inventoried and inspected my parts when they came in. By chance did you get/verify that you have the adjustment spanner wrench? Mine should be here today so then I can complete my adjustments and get it to the alignment shop. I asked the shop if they had a proper spanner and could do my final adjustments and they advised they didn't and I had to wait for the spanner to come in.

So true. I took it all out and checked everything but didn’t notice the varied sizes. Frustrating for sure.
Mine did not come with the new style spanner, only the screw driver handle that’s pretty useless for sure. That’ll be another day, reaching out to Eibach to acquire that.
