    "Slightly pudgier." I love it.

I'll throw the GoPro down there and see if it moves around first I guess.

It was a pretty long day. @mark@eibach will chime in after he composes all the information they got from driving my truck around but in my case it comes down to the suspension not belonging on my truck and some other factors. For various reason, not truck not being 4x4, there for lighter up front and my generation being a lighter chassis.

He did mention that two members with 3rd gens have reached out to him and they will be bringing their trucks to be looked over by them.

They are working extensively on correcting the issue. They attached GoPros on the truck and gathered information. Unfortunately my situation seemed different to what you 3rd gen guys are experiencing.

Apologize if I might’ve given you guys hope. Crossing my fingers the 3rd gen guys that have contacted Eibach show up and they’re able to get down to the root of the problem.

Not so sound like ass. But thats one some bullshit.. lighter really? Not like we are talking about thousand pounds lighter. I got a buddy with a 3rd gen, 4 cyl 2wd double cab. He also has the same issue. Still hasn't adjusted his coilovers neither. So tell me how is that right? At factory settings.. haven't adjusted.. for a 3rd gen tacoma?..

This doesn't make sense.. pretty fed up with the suspension yet also losing hopes already. I can't get a refund. And I don't know anybody who's willing to buy them from me, because apparently people know about the issue and are now discouraged to buying them new, so buying it second hand doesn't help aha. Well good luck on those 3rd gens going in.

what's the 2nd hand market on the 2.0 stage 2 going for lately? A local post has Front/ Rear for $700 w/10k miles. Would be a upgrade from a stage 1 for the fronts. I have No complaints with the stage 1 after 25k miles.

It doesn't sound like it's an upgrade after reading this thread. Probably the only difference is the threaded preload collar vs the clip. And once that's set you most likely will never adjust it. I would spend the money on the remote resi rears before I spent money going from a clip to threaded. But that's just me

    UPDATE:

Brought in It's_Taconie's 2007 2WD for review as he was the first in this group to reach out locally. We were unable to confirm anything definitively on his vehicle as the application is unlisted, the fenders are removed and being a 2007, the condition of it's components were that of a 2007 Tacoma, making it hard to identify a single noise. We can confirm that at static height this application had only mm of down travel before top-out. We are bringing in a stock 2WD 2nd gen to confirm actual lift data and capabilities for this application and will update this application data accordingly. Thank you for bringing it by @it's_taconie! This may not have been the a solution for people's concern, but the effort was not in vein.

The morning we tested, we had a member reach out to offer their 3rd gen for review. I'll report back after we get them in.

Has anyone collected specific setups from trucks using this 2.0 version. Like 20-30 different people. With data like that including whether or not your truck has the issue might really narrow the search or make the diagnostics easier.

Maybe @mark@eibach could provide a specific list of components that people installed or what would help them find a common denominator.

Maybe it’s a particular brand of UCA or just a UCA in general that is causing the issue. NOT suggesting that it is UCA related at all. Just that if they had a list of all the variations and which had the issue might help.

Would HIGHLY suggest that you or someone set up a (free) SurveyMonkey page to collect this data to keep this thread clean, otherwise it's such a headache to parse that I know *I* wouldn't want to do it...

I've been driving around with the replacement front coilovers I got from my visit with Eibach. It's been close to 10 days since the visit and have been driving the truck around the neighborhood streets where the "Thunk" would occur and so far, I haven't had the issue. Feels like stock suspension but a tad firmer obviously. In fact, I've driven certain parts quicker and nothing. Everything gets absorbed a lot better than it did on the last set. My biggest test was what my wife thought without me mentioning it and even she noticed the difference. Don't know what to say, doesn't seem like the suspension is bottoming out or that it has mm of droop.

I am leaning towards it being a bad batch or batches that must've went out. I'll continue driving the truck around. I'll be going out of town so it'll be interesting to see/feel how it does on long commutes.

No droop travel is no good. I went through that after lifting a Subaru Outback on Rallitek springs. After installing shorter springs, it was heavenly.

Nice to see some progress on this issue. I have just changed the way I drive my truck. Hell, I have thought about making the 2,125km drive south so they can experience what I do... if nothing comes of this, I really am not sure I can keep these on my truck long term as I had hoped... :fingerscrossed: to a resolution...

I'd hoped they would've offer a shorter spring as a solution but that probably would've taken more time they wanted to waste on chasing the issue. I don't know:notsure:

For me, these were always a starting point to eventually go with something better down the line as mods get out of control. :goingcrazy: Just wasn't expecting to do it so soon. These are affordable and I had most of the parts from my previous 4runner (rip) build.

My truck is currently a pavement princess. It does go down the odd FSR, but it won't be a true off roader... I love this truck and don't plan to beat it up that way. So this suspension system far exceeded my expectations for my needs.

Until I noticed the drop out hammer... at first I thought I did something wrong... I have only been turning wrenches for the better part of 30 years... mistakes happen. So I went over everything and found nothing... then the posts started here. I wasn't the only one. I still feel this is a quality product for the price point. We just need Eibach to hear what we have been hearing. Get this solved and move on. Every other aspect of these kits are well built and well delivered. Except...the drop out hammering...

On a side note... I don't have a garage or a driveway so I changed mine out in the back alley... with cars driving by. I really don't want to have to do that again!!! But here we are...

I agree. I like eibach and their products. I ran them on my civic and they've always had a great reputation. This is just a small hiccup, I'm sure they'll figure it out with those 3rd gens they are going to look over.

Sounds like some improvements. I wonder if these coilovers are extended lengths like Kings. Perhaps valving and shims are different with the new batches? Or maybe the remove the internal bump stop spacer in them? Hopefully a solution comes up, and eibach aids the consumers with the bad batch. Personally I'm leaning towards kings, or fox. But that's long long down the road. So these eibach will do for now.

I'll eventually go Fox but again not that this is a bad suspension for anyone that reads through this thread, they're great when compared to bilstein or ome shocks. Good beginner suspension.
