OK, I know there are too many Eibach Threads, but I have a question about spring rate and lift. I did a search and could not find the answer.

If the OME 885 is 590# / 16" in length and gives 2.5-3.0" of lift, how does the Eibach that is 620# / 16" in length only give 1.6"????

    Thanks

Front (2.75" total): 1.6" Eibach coils, Toytec 0.5" (L) & 0.25" (R) top plate spacers, 5100's @ 0.85", Built Right uniball UCA's, Differential drop, Removed sway bar Rear: TSB springs, Wheeler's 1.5" AAL, 5100's, 2* shims, Carrier bearing drop, F and R Spidertrax, 285/75-16 Goodyear Duratracs, Self-fabbed sliders, rear bumper, and skid plates, Cobra 75 CB, Bed lined slim lo-pro tool box, Bed Extender, Diff breather mod, Two tail gate security mods, Exhaust dumped behind axle, Can't leave shit alone so plenty more coming...
If the measurements are accurate, that's a good question. However, the OME 885 coils do not give 2.5-3" of lift. One site advertises 1.75" of lift another site claims 2" of lift from the same coils. They claim you need the top plate spacers to the full 3" which also doesn't make sense because the 1/2" plate only gives about 3/4" of lift. That only adds up to 2.5". Either way, people love them.

I have the Eibachs, 5100's at 0.85", a 1/2" plate on the driver's side, and a 1/4" plate on the passenger's side. Mathematically, this adds up to over 3" of lift. I actually only got 2.75" of lift with no lean.

Not for sure, but I can tell you this. I only got about 1" of lift or a little less with Eibach coils on a DC 4x4.

Same here I also got about 1" of lift out the the Eibach's, but I am very happy with the ride!

The 885's are not 16" should be somewhere between 15.25-15.5"

OK, with that said, why do they render more lift than the Eibach?

Well, what is it? 16" for the 885 & Eibach is what I read I read in an older post that Chris replied to. Regardless, is the Eibach Spring as long as the OME 885??? If so, how does it only render 1.6" of lift when it is rated 30# heavier than the 885??

    A 16" spring would give 4"'s of lift. My 884's are 15.25" 855's are 1/8th" taller I believe?
Not sure about the eibach's but I would guess around 15"?

i believe the eibachs are 15", 884's are 15 1/4" and the 885's are roughly 15.65" tall. eibach is higher spring rate, right around 620. 884 and 885's come in at 590.

With the eibachs being 620# does the make it a rougher ride?

pair them with the right shock, 5100's or something very similar, and it will be negligible when compared to the OME's.

stock SR5 springs are roughly 540 lb spring rate, trd springs...not so sure, probably slightly higher. the ride will definitely be a bit more firm than stock, but most people appreciate that as its a truck and expect a more firm ride from the factory.

wow good info. i'd of figured higher spring rate even paired w/the better 5100's would've yielded a firmer ride.

Thanks for the info. That is the exact set up I and going with, but I'm going to step up to some 17" Moto Metal 957s and 265/70R17 Toyo Open Country MTs.
Did you have to do any additional work on the fron like move the sway bar or any drive shaft issues with the Eibachs and 5100s @ 0.0?
