    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Made WAY less progress than I wanted today. But I think what we're doing is worth it.

Did get the rest of the tear down complete. And then we got the coil bucket reinforcement plates (about 95%) made. @Kwikvette was some clutch help today. Thank you, for real, Nelson

A CNC table sure would have been nice. But we managed, with angle grinders and determination

Anyone have a clue what I'm missing here?

The pic (with the Kings) is JD Fab web page.

The 2 pics above that are what I got from JD Fab.

Glad they came out the way they did; should be easy burning tomorrow. Wish I could've done them today!

I’d check with @81Trekker it doesn’t look correct to me but he can confirm.

They're definitely not correct; sucks cause we were hoping to burn everything on all at once with the side plates.

They are definitely correct, they bolt to the shock mount for the long travel kit

What part of your kit do the bypass hoops bolt to?

That is a picture of the kit for “over cap” shocks which we no longer use because you get almost zero preload adjustment before you go into coil bind

Lol... So, your LT kit isn't what's pictured. And your hoops aren't what is pictured, and your hoops now only work with your LT kit, which isn't stated on your page.

    Got it

    That seems totally legit.

Strange, Looks like its missing something to bolt to. Someone at JD should be able to sort it out.

No, I just ordered the bypass hoops off your page, because according to the picture the hoops go to the top center of the coil bucket.

My apologies then, I was just dealing with a customer this week that was trying to get bypass hoops for a first Gen, thought that was you.

You have a couple options then... you can get our upper shock mounts that the bypass hoops bolt to, we can build you the “over cap style” hoops or you can return them for a full refund and I’ll gladly cover all shipping costs plus any costs incurred for the hassle.

Again I’m really sorry and feel bad, absolutely nothing sucks more than trying to get a project done over the weekend and having the wrong stuff. Please let me know what you would like me to do and it will be taken care of 6am Monday morning.

It's all good. LOL... This is absolutely nothing new for me

We were just talking about it today. First time I did any real work on this truck I replaced the LBJs... I ended up with 2 passenger LBJs (they were labeled with the correct part numbers for driver and passenger)

    It's my luck.

What's involved with installing your upper shock mounts?

Our upper shock mounts require you to cut the lip off of the factory bucket. We provide you with a jig that aligns a hole saw so you can cut the lip off. Then the shock mount bolts to the top of the bucket along with the bypass hoop.

Our shock mount raises the upper shock mount up so depending on how your kit is set up you ideally would cycle the suspension to maximize the up travel. Do you have over cap shocks? What rod ends, spring plate, spring length, res fitting size and res fitting angle? All of this will factor into how you set it up.

Actually, that sounds like that is going to completely rearrange my build.

    I'll just figure something out.

I'll probably just cut the brackets top plates off and fabricate a mount on top of the coil bucket to meet up to.
