Finally some vids of her in action. Really need to do something about the rear.

EDIT: Don't know how to embed Facebook Videos so I just took a video of it on my computer. Sorry for no sound. I'll have to get a thumb drive and get the original file from my friend. In the mean time..

Do a cantilever system if you want to save the bed.

Been watching your build. This is pretty much what I want to do with my upcoming purchase of a pickup. Eventually I will be moving out west plus I want a more comfortable ride with the LT instead of jacking the t-bars up and crap. Only way I have found to go coilover is T.C. gen 2 caddy kit. I too, want to maintain a bed so I am definitely interested in what you decide. The cantilever kit is probably the best way to go. Check out blackhawke's rear cage. He still has close to full advantage of his bed.

Are you running wheel spacers in the back? Have you looked in to getting a t-100 axle?

I'm debating on keeping the bed or just caging the whole rear out. I do have spidertrax wheel spacers in the rear for now but I'd like to find a t-100 axle. Glad to hear that your following the build at times I think no one notices since this is a tacoma forum :p
Not really familiar with the cantilever system. Do you have a link to blackhawkes cage? Tried searching for him with no avail.

Here is his build. Pics of the cage are on page 33- http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/25735-blackhawke88s-build-photo-thread.html

I cant remember if you had a list of parts you got for the LT but if you don't mind, could you do a quick run down of what all you need to be functional? I noticed you didn't do the idler arm. idk what else you can get away with staying stock. One of the biggest problems I know I will run in to is rust. :(

I'll need to look more into the cantilever design as that may be an option for me. Also as for the parts list I got t-100 axles. T.C. shock hoop mount and their Gen II caddy kit King 2.5X8 inch coilover's and mcneil racing fender's. That's all that i can remember that I've put in the front.

Alright cool thanks! Thats is what i had put together on my parts list. Did you have any problems with the fenders fitting right? That is one thing ive heard about fiberglass fenders.

canti systems are bad ass, but require ALOT of work to get them working properly and to tune the shocks. the top pic is a nissan titan and the canti was built by a place called boneyard fab here in my town (but they are closed now). the 2nd pic is a jeep JK with the off road evo canti kit.

motorbikemike has a canti kit, but it's above the bed.... different take on it. the shop that built my bedcage built his canti and it's a work of art. check it out

The fenders i bought from mcneil went on and lined up better than i expected. The passenger side bolted right up. The driver side i had to pull on it a little for one of the bolt holes to line up but other than that it bolted right on.

Ah i remember seeing that video a while back and it's so badass! Are these cantilever kits something that have to be built from scratch aside from the bed cage or is their a company that sells them as a kit. I fear This will cost almost as much as a 4 link.

for our trucks, they are custom built. some companies offer kits for rangers, and at one time engage offered at canti kit for tacomas.... but i wouldn't go that route.

like i said, there is alot of math and work to make a canti kit, and then more work to make it function. realistically, i'd just go with a sping under leaf/bypass set up with a simple cage similar to mine to maximize left over bed space. if you get a t-100 or tundra axle you'll be able to run the shocks outside the frame rails and it'll be much easier to keep most of the bedspace with a simple cage deisgn

I'm curious as to what other advantages besides more up-travel comes with doing a spring under the axle conversion. I'd like to do spring under but since I do the occasional rock crawling ect I would hate for the u-bolts and springs to get caught up on rocks since it's now closer to the ground. Could I do the rear and make it spring over like it is currently with out having my rear end in the air? Also who makes spring under conversion kit's that will work with the deaver's i plan on getting.

look at adrian's truck from icon, hes got a tundra axle with full leaf under and tripples. badass set up with almost full bedspace. it's its more reliable and 1000x easier then cantilever. if wanted u could put ur spare tire underneath as well and have even more space
