I am sure this has been posted before, however I am trying to get a quick answer so I can get the ball rolling ASAP...

I am looking to see what it will take to put a e-locker in my 97 Standard cab tacoma. I know i have read a few things here before about the wiring... and I think someone on here even makes a wiring harness for this... Anyone know about that????

1... I have no tag on my diff's and not sure they are the original ones to the VIN#. How do I find out for sure what the gear ratio is? I am guessing I will have to pull the 3rd member out and count, but what number teeth pinion/ring = what ratio???

2... Who, where and how do I hook up a harness to maintain OEM switch and work like factory? If the Locker harness separate from the main truck harness??? How and where does it hook up?

I am torn between going for an e-locker or a Lock-Right. I am thinking the easiest route would be the Lock Right. Any advise???

This can be checked by dividing the ring gear tooth count by the pinion tooth count (e.g., Ring gear tooth count – 35T, pinion gear tooth count – 10T. 35/10 or 3.50:1 ratio)

Q2 go to that site http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/electric_locker/
