Worked in corrosion for aircraft...read 1st note, clean and keep oxygen away. Totally agree with last statements, garbage..rust doesn't occur this way.. remember the stickon cell phone attenae? Sounds cool

toyota offered a E-rust protector like this when i got my truck in late 2010. I didn't take it because I got one free from my father-inlaw so far the body panels are rust free but i haven't conexted it to the frame or bed panels and the frame has shown some rust starting on some of the welds which I have scuffed up and painted last summer. this summer I will have to get off my lazy ass and connect up the frame and bed panels

do some chemistry research on how rust occurs. You'll realize there's no way possible for this to work the way they are claiming.

also do some searching on electrolysis through metal, you'll start to see the light. I would never buy into this product... You're safer just doing a coating of some sort. Electrolysis = bad juju

Electrolysis only really works on ferrous metals that are in a solution, (water and washing soda / sodium carbonite) I have used sodium carbonite solution and a batery charger to remove rust from many an old tool or the like, using a sacraficial clean steel annode to deposit good molecules onto the part being cleaned,, then the part had to be washed, and treated ASAP or the rust would come back. Just google electrolysis rust removal, pretty cool actually. P.S. I don't beleive the system you looked into is worth a hill of beans. Not even the jelly variety.

Ahh yes, pseudo-science rears its ugly head again. Save your money and dignity.

Yeah i guess just keep an eye on your truck and make an effort to check And take care of it as surface rust.

Yes, you can use electrolysis in different ways. I used it as an extreme example. I've witnessed millions of tax dollars worth of equipment lost at sea due to electrolysis caused by faulty electronic equipment. Although electrolysis happens in a water solution, in the open air electrical current can and will speed up oxidation of vulnerable metals. I didn't look too far into this product, but I sure won't spend my money on it, based on my limited knowledge, it seems to be a huge gimmick.

The unit is still blinking and beeping away and the truck is rust free. However, the truck only has 17k miles thus far, so we'll see...

If I could do it over again, I would have just said no thanks. The more I read about the product, the more I realize that it's a waste of money. My fault for not thoroughly researching it first.

    I don't think these work.
