Hello I like the Satoshi insert. How does this work? How hard is the install on the insert? What do I need to do to make it fit my grill?

    Timsxr,
Nice work man, I am glad to see you ran with my idea of the Tacoma Emblem. It looks awesome. I would be all over this if not for my current out at school situation.

We had a discussion going on another thread about grill lights. I am thinking of doing a deep dish w/ lights infront of the mesh, or coming through. Not sure witch yet. But I figured this link might help a member out.

What does it take to get added to the list for a Satoshi powder coated? Whats the secret handshake?

And.... I have one question for tim... What did you use to brush the toyota trucks emblem? I might want to go with the brushed look on the whole grill.

    LOOKS GOOD
SHOOT IF i knew you were going to put it on raw i would have brushed it for you that finish was made to be painted thats why it might look a little grindy? you can use sand paper and a block on it in one direction and work it out, did it fit well??

Nice job OP and Nd4Spd86. Hope someone decides to match everything to the body color. I'd like to see how that would look.

DAMN that looks sweet! I like the raw look, with the chrome grill, especially matched with the silver. I am still thinking I want to do the insert because I am indecisive and I like to change my mind, but I think that would look awesome on my SWB w/ chrome done as a Satoshi.

Lol I didn't even know I was gonna put it on that way... but when I got it I couldn't resist running out to my truck and seeing what it looked like when I held it up to the grill. It looked good like that so I went with it. I really like the black chrome idea too. What grit sand paper would your recommend for brushing it? I used some 120 grit sand cloth and that worked pretty well but the grind marks on the outer frame stayed.

Oh.... and the more I look at it I kinda wish I would have done the lower as well especially with the raw stainless... Oh well maybe later.

...And yes the fitment was awesome, it fit the cut out perfectly and the bending was pretty much exact as well.... If anyone is on the fence, go for it this is truly a first class product.

Looks great! Still kicking around the idea. For the $30 powdercoat, is that black only? Thanks.
