    Hi,

Moving my blue lights over to the taco, anyone have any pics or videos of trucks done? I did a search and all the answers come up as actual head/tail light replacements. Just looking for some good mounting ideas (grill mounts, hide aways, whatever)

I think its illegal to have red and blue flashers/strobes/lights on your vehicle unless its an emergency vehicle or you're a volly... I COULD be wrong. Any LEOs know? Maybe its a regional thing.

You guys just like the look of em?

When I lived back East, I was a first responder, and I was legally allowed to have strobes/reds/siren on my vehicle.
They don't have those out here, it isn't legal, unforunately

It varies state to state. Check local laws by looking for your state statutes online.

In Florida that is a HUGE no go...

I have a bunch of vendors online that can provide some great deals on hidden LEDS and various lights for way less than companies like Federal Signal or Whelen can sell them for.

Shoot me a PM if you want more details.

I know in KY blue/red lights or the combination of the two are strictly prohibited

same with SC...certain counties allow for red/white flashers for volunteer FF...but blue lights are a big time no-no...just having them on your vehicle (they dont have to be turned on) can result in a ticket or you doing some roadside mods to your vehicle

Indiana blue is ok for volunteer fire

. I had 4 tir3's on my old jeep, never bothered putting them on the taco yet. I live like .5 mi from the station, so I may never bother mounting them. But, I do think TIR2's would fit on the stock grill, in the center part between the two main horizontal bars. Could put 2 on each side.

Id probably just buy a slim LED and put it on the windshield though in reality.

It varies state to state. Here police is blue and red, fire is red, volly is blue, and well technically volly ems is green. Funeral is purple....

Yeah...its all according to state and department policy...I know in oregon, according to the ORS, volunteers can have red/white lights that were issued/owned by the department...but most departments don't allow them anyways..

Here we are allowed to run red and white strobes for fire and rescue, blue will put you in jail! I don't even run lights any more because people drive stupid when they see them and I don't want to cause an accident on the way to one.
