Insurance company called today while I was shopping for a truck. They said my claim is under legal review to determine if my policy covers what happened and that if it doesn't, I only get 9 days of rental car coverage, which today is the 9th day. So I had to return the rental car and now I get to stress over whether they will cover what happened or not.

Damm. I forgot to remove the old filter Gasket while changing the oil on my Tundra and drove it while the oil gushed out and locked the Engine. Cost me 3k to fix i was livid and beating myself down to death every day over that. I hope you get the money because if you dont, you would be in worst situation than i was. Good Luck

Does your coverage have a offroading clause?

What does your policy say? Should specifically state the it doesnt cover offroading if thats the case.

Hey man, I called USAA about my coverage and they said anything I do off-road is covered. I know your coverage may be different but I’m sure they are similar unless you took a lesser coverage. They also said it would be looked at on a case by case basis. This came from the claims guy.

They said if it floods, roll it, hit something ect (all off-road) they will cover it. When I talked to them they made it seem like it was case by case basis for crazy stuff. I’m sure If I built a jump and launched my truck superman style they would not cover it.

I'd ask for that in writing and see if they change their tune.

Thats a good idea. Chris and I have the same company so I guess we will see what the outcome is from his claim.

They won't put anything in writing. Your policy is the "writing".
