    Loud as hell URD exhaust!
I had the same problem when I wanted the free oil change at 1k miles instead of the recommended 5k. Since they wouldn't do it I just went home and changed it myself.

At 1k miles there was alot of metal flakes in the oil. Maybe they don't hurt the engine but I would rather not have them in there.

I did my first oil change at 5000 miles as recommended in the owners manual.

If you have visible metal flakes in the lube oil, that the oil filter isn't catching, something is wrong with your engine?

Drive it like you stole it! Don't pussy foot it around town. The cylinder walls need to be broken in hard in the beginning...

This. The old addage of breaking it in slowly is 1/2 for the lawyers and 1/2 true for older cars. For all my motorcycles and cars I've driven them as normal and really only avoided constant cruising for the first few hundred miles, I run the engine through the whole rev range as well. Never had a problem with oil burning. The engines are mostly broken in when they leave the factory anyway.
