engine noise

    Hi everyone,

    on a v6 engine has a louder tick noise on the driver side comparing from the passenger side of the engine. the sound as if a toppet clearance noise.

    getting there....
    normal on the 2nd gen tacomas. there is a small black canister type module located on the driver side,close to the front spark plug.....some have unbolted it and put a rubber washer/o-ring on the bolt to help eliminate the noise. other than that, nothing to worry about man!!

    After hearing similar complaint, but about 8 different solutions, all with varying or no success.

    The conclusion seems to be it's normal. Even my Toy dealership said so in writing.
