Tacoma, Washington, been here since august last year and absolutely love it.

Spent the evening at the beach tonight. BTW, I love these geolanders! Beefy! IMG_20200518_204837_734.jpg

Yup, just made an appointment to take it back Tuesday. Still leaking and narrowed it down to that black bracket

So I take it it's also the rear main seal

So I took it back in and they wanted to confirm that it was still leaking oil and not just left over so they did the dye test. Next day it was still leaking oil. I had to make another appointment to take it back. They confirmed that it was the rear main seal. Gave me a shitty Kia and sent me home. Next day they had it done. I picked it up and so far have put 800 miles on it and not a single drop.

2018 TRD Sport 4x4. 23,400 miles on odo.

Went to dealer for last 24 month/25K miles service (“oily residue on oil pan” on my punch list). Diagnosed as rear main oil seal leak. Returning Tuesday and leaving all day for the remove / replace.

Dropped off Tuesday 6/30 and before my ride picked me up they offered a loaner, free of charge. Just retrieved the repaired Taco (Friday 7/3).

    Text from the service order:
CUSTOMER STATES HE NOTICED AN OIL SUBSTANCE ON THE ENGINE OIL PAN, CHECK FOR LEAKS. FOUND POROUS REAR MAIN SEAL CAUSING OIL LEAK
    RECOMMEND REAR MAIN SEAL.

And the 2nd most important part:
    TOTAL INVOICE $ 0.00

It's the first time I'm starting to hear about these engine seal/gasket leaks after scrolling TW...that sucks. It sounds very common.
