Depends on what you build and how safe a tune you give it.

The depth of your wallet and breadth of your skills are big factors too.

Not to mention if you want a big numbers dyno queen or a practical application.

I recently replaced my oil drain plug with a more aerodynamic oil plug and got an increase in hp by 35%

Ok might have been less....... On a serious note. I installed a CAI by volant with an intake scoop, looks nice and all but honestly don't notice much except a sweet sound. I was told to replace the camshaft with bigger lobes..... I'm wondering if anyone has done this swap and what difference did you get? Another one I heard was to Port but not polish the throttle body inlet housing as the roughness by not polishing creates a "better" air "mix" before entering the intake manifold thus more power..... Any thoughts on these mods, let me know I'm looking to get more ponies on my 15 Tacoma

Only cams you can get are a custom order through Kelford cams. Or send yours in to Web Camshafts, to have them re-lobe yours. Neither option is cheap. I know personally. Around ~$1200-1600.

Then you have to consider the amount of lift you want, and if it will create the potential for valve to piston interference when the intake cam gear phases. Too much lift and you'll have to lock out the intake cam gears, or they will hit.
