I’m thinking about going the Entune route to replace my standard radio in my 2010. I have the volume controls on the steering wheel but no Bluetooth.
I’d like to have it display my camera on the radio vs the mirror or have it in both locations. I would also like to have Navi.

I read a few threads that seem to list info throughout 20 pages or more. Which entune models should I be looking at and is there a complete list of adaptors I would need to get Navi and everything to work?
I like the OEM look but I don’t want to spend more than it would cost me to get a nice aftermarket to have the same functions.

Why not go with an aftermarket head unit with Navigation and bluetooth ?
This way you can add the steering wheel controls to the right side and everything will work .
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/installed-steering-wheel-audio-controls-on-my-08.316944/

Keep in mind that an entune reciever that doesnt have Bluetooth will not work in your application

I have a 2010 and this was the direction I used when I updated and it looks and works far better than any factory reciever

That’s my cross roads is if I want to go after market or OEM for the look. Due to price and headache of going entune. It probably will end up aftermarket. I just need to research what’s out there since I’ve been out the audio game for 20 years. I currently have the controls for volume but not phone. Did you have to remove the air bag to add your controls?

what did you end up going with and any pics?

Thanks. Hadn’t decided if I’m going to replace speakers yet. I have some MB Quart components laying around from my old days almond with Phoenix gold amps but I may add the components up front if anything. I’m going to check your thread on the radio as that’s my main thing to do along with a remote start

Those factory front speakers weigh less than 1 pound . You wont be sorry if you decide to replace them even with old stock lol .
I have a compustar remote . Works good up here in the Great White North .
    https://www.compustar.com/systems/remote-start
Back then , you couldnt start your truck with your phone . If I were to purchase again , I would be certain to buy the remote start with cell phone start .

Great. I more than likely will replace them in time. I’m leaning towards the Accessorides kit since it’s complete plug n play.

Ok cool. I may look at them. Just seen the link with those factory 6x9’s. They do look pitiful. Figure I will make some adapters from MDF but this place may already have them

Looking at that ********* all in one kit for 749$ isn’t bad. I prob wouldn’t do a sub so I may see if they will knock off the sub and I Use that money for a better head unit. Image dynamic use to make a ice speaker. It me we when they had the horn style speakers to fit under a dash

Has anyone on here used the OEM AUDIO setup in a 2nd gen? I've been searching through this forum for feedback but the only thing i can really find are 3rd gen reviews

I put a 2015 Entune in my truck and was plug and play. Left OEM speakers in and was a great upgrade. Perfect OEM fit and very noticeable improvement in audio quaility. I wish someone would post up a how to on this mod as its relatively easy and low-cost compared to 3rd party solutions. You will have to buy an HD radio antenna and OEM bluetooth microphone but all in you can be under $200 if you shop smart.

Yeah. That would be nice. I’d go that route if I didn’t have to cut the dash face plate or anything and it fits flush. Plus it would give me ability to move camera view to the OEM radio without unwanted attention from thieves

The 2015 bezel fit perfectly. I did find that it helped if you trimmed the edge to make it sit flush with the dash. Else it sits slightly proud of the left and right sides. I have a side-by-side pic on here somewhere of this trimming. Its very simple.
