entune problem/ question

hello,

ive had my 3rd gen for a couple of weeks now.

ive ran into an annoying problem, it seems to be random....

sometimes when I link to my phone via Bluetooth all I get on the head unit is the words "Bluetooth connected". it will play the music fine, but I have to control it from my phone.....the steering wheel controls are not active. I also cant see the name of the artist, song, album art ect.

I want to stress that this seems to be a random occurrence.

when it happens I hold the power button, un pair the device, and re connect....the same problem.

any ideas?

Same here when playing Pandora. No rhyme or reason to it so it seems. Good phone signal, and will work if I play Pandora on phone thru the Bluetooth. But pandora wont come up in etune. Happens about 20% of the time. Very annoying.

Most of the time, disconnecting via etune app and reconnecting takes care of it. Other times have to do that, wait for a stoplight, and restart the truck.

Only real complaint about this vehicle so far.

 

same here sir, maybe a new version or an update will come out to fix this?

if that's the case, we should be able to go to Toyota and get the update for free right?

 

Make sure in your phones bluetooth settings that you select sync contacts and share/show notifications.
