My 2018 Sport has the same software version 010192. I am having some trouble with the USB. I formatted Fat, Fat32. I used a 2gig, 8 gig and 32 gig drive. None of them load. No response at all when I plug in the drive. I will keep trying but if anyone has any ideas, please share.

I got a 16 SR with no nav entune. Guessing I’m too poor to get custom startup and shutdown images cause they’re not on the menu. It would appear the software’s never been updated. Would an upgrade unlock the option for pictures or am I, as suspected, below the pay grade deserving of custom screens? Any insight most appreciated!

I am wondering the same thing. I have a 2015 with basic Entune. I would like to update the software myself if possible. Not available on the site though.

I'm having so many problems with the radio in my 2014 Taco. Can't seem to find a fix anywhere online and I don't have the best relationship with my local Toyota dealership. Upgraded my phone and now it won't talk to my truck! And I only updated to an iPhone 7!! Sent a message to Toyota and nothing... Isn't there some programmer guy there at Toyota looking out for us who like to hang onto our trucks for longer than 3 years?

I’m not sure but I have 3rd gen and lately I’ve had connectivity issues. I think it might be an iOS 13 issue.

I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD, download the update, installed the update, which seemed to work just fine. Now it tells me that the updates were not applied and to seek dealer's help. This is so fustrating.

Update... I went to the dealership and they tried to install the update, but the system would not take it. So sad! The service guy showed me the replacement cost of a new unit, $9500, really, I can't believe that's true. Maybe it is, don't know. Also, he priced out a refurbished unit at $1500. So I tried an experiment, reconnect my iPhone X via Bluetooth and disable the contacts upload, so far no reboot so far. Now I've created a contact group list and I only put in the contacts that I need to access, minding you that I kept it small, and then set that group as my download. So far so good. I'm leary of trying to play music via Bluetooth, by that's ok since I use a jump disk with all of my music on it.

I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. I got the truck in May. Thanksgiving day my radio system started restarting / rebooting. Every few minutes. All my setting would default back. Well I got it to stop. In the bluetooth system. I removed all contacts from my favorites. It hasn't restarted since doing this. don't know why it just started

I found out that if you hold down the "On/Volume" button when the motor is running, it forces the system to reset.

When upgrading for the second time now, I noticed the Device Driver, Audio, etc all shows the new version number each time and gets updated, but the 'Operating System' at the top of the list never listed the new version number, just a "-" so it remains on the old version. Is this normal?

When using entune app on my phone, would it prompt me to update too or are the apps just to play music through?

Just upgraded my 2013 from 2.1 to 5.2 and exFat didn't work. I had to run DISKPART to format my USB to FAT16 to get the HU to detect an update. The update took about 5 minutes. Sure beats paying the stealership $100.

So far I see zero difference and MAPS is still the only app. I'm guessing maybe it updated some map info. Not really sure if this HU has Entune, but the NAV is handy.

3" lift with Bilstein 5100s, OME coils, and an AAL package... so far.
Anyone try updating their Entune with the software for a newer model? For example, I have a 2019 TRD OR but I wanna get the Apple Car Play/Android Auto from the 2020/2021 models. Has anyone tried doing this? Does anyone know of a way I can get Apple Car Play and Android Auto on the stock Entune system? I don't wanna have to buy an entire new unit if I can just download the software and install it.
