A little off topic but does anyone know if 2 phones can be connected to the premium with nav radio at one time to get phone calls ?

Not that I'm aware of. You can connect 2 phones and have one if them connected for audio and one for calls but you can't have 2 connected for calls.

Or a nice phone mount and use that. Option 2, buy a gps for under 200 and beer with the extra.

If you press on the audio section of the screen so the audio information pops up, then go to select device, a screen will pop up so you can choose which phone does what. You can choose which phone is for calls and which phone to use for audio source. Hope this helps some

    LS1 swap with nitros.
You can buy map update cards on fleabay for ~$50. They are not from Toyota, but I did this on our Acura a few years ago and works perfect.

You may not be buying it directly from Toyota but they are authentic Toyota Entune SD cards that came out of a Toyota vehicle. The Entune map SD cards can not be duplicated as far as I know, at least not easily.

I was there and saw it but it did not allow me to do anything while driving . Maybe while stopped ? I got into the truck today with just my phone and it picked it right up no problem . The wife's phone linked when we were both in the car driving and mine did not but it was shown on the screen . We were able to turn off her music streaming option while driving but on my phone nothing worked when pressing the options .

Yes correct you have to be stopped in order for those functions to work. It's the safety feature these head units have

Is there any way to go back to the previous version??
I had no problems with the nav until this update.

Friday I was driving to kennedy meadows troy camp ground, a place I have been before and had sent a location when I was previously there.
When I selected that as the location two route lines showed on the map and I didn't have any option to choose either of them and the route boxes that are at the right of the map were greyed put.....within seconds it defaulted to a completely erroneous route (over 7 hours off road questionable fire roads) instead of the 40 miles via 9 mile canyon road. Even as I was heading up the road it was trying to get me to turn onto power line roads to get me to go trough Onyx.

Does anyone know a way to override this 'safety' feature?

I used mine a couple weeks ago in town and it had me going down very narrow back alleys, totally avoided the main roads and never got me to my destination, ended up calling for directions.

in a nutshell you cant. you can bypass the gps sensor on the headunit to make it look like you are doing less than 5 mph (the cutoff that enables full head unit function). but the flipside of that, your gps location on the nav goes out of sync wildly the longer you bypass the gps sensor.
