Entune update download

i have a 2014 with the Entune Audio Plus. It looks like there is an update available for this unit. From the TSB that I found the file seems to be 13TDDANA-DA00 0154.kwi. Does anyone know where I can download this file from? Thanks

I had my 2014 updated to 13TDANNA-DA00 back in may of 2016 at the dealership where I purchased my truck. I think seeing the dealer is the only way to get these updates.

 

Am I wrong? From my online research, you download "swdl.iso" directly from Toyota at https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/toyota and stick it on a USB drive and you're golden. I've watched people apply the update on YouTube and it is my exact same Entune system ('14 Tacoma).

I am not able to apply it though, when I stick the USB drive in, the system never sees it, and I never get the prompt to start the update. So I'm wondering if I have the wrong file after all.

 

I tried that and had similar results.

Yeah, I need the 13TDDANA-DA00_0154.kwi file as well. As others, I tried to do the other file (swdl.iso) and that didn't work. The truck didn't "see" the update. I think that is for only the premium system, not the "Audio Plus" version that we have.

 

might need an older disk file system on the USB drive or use a smaller drive

 

Yeah, i formatted it to be FAT32. The smallest drive I have is 4GBs

 

I had some systems that only read FAT16 in the past.

I need the file 13TDDANA-DA00_0154.kwi for my '14 Tacoma as well. It used to be available through the TSB T-SB-0035-16 but the Toyota links are now dead. If anyone has a copy of this fiel I would sure appreciate borrowing it!

 

If any of you have a cell phone, ios I know works and I would bet money that android will also, you need the toyota entune App.
sign in (must) and the app will find the update. no dealer involved. I never go to the dealer (stealer) unless the world is ending and I need something for toyota.

 

I did try the Entune app (I have an Android) but it would not let me create an account because my VIN number for my 2014 Tacoma was not compatible with the app.

LUCKILY - another Tacoma owner just sent me a copy of the 13TDDANA-DA00_0154.kwi file. My radio was doing the intermittent freezing and rebooting for a couple of years now, so I really hope this resolves the problem! Thanks!!

 

What's new about the new Entune update that makes it worth updating?

 

From what I saw it looked exactly the same. But if you have a factory stereo that intermittently locked up and/or randomly rebooted itself then it's supposed to fix that.

Mine would freeze up and I would have to turn the engine off and restart the truck to get it to start working.

 

I did the update on my 2014 with Nav and it still freezes and even after restart the truck the radio dont work right.

Its a crap shoot 6 out of 10 times work.
