    so im in the coast guard and got transfered up to Airstation Kodiak. this is the adventure that my wife and I went through to get up here. bare with me as i post up pictures and more.
    here are pics of the first day:

    we left seattle headed to bellingham. it was a pretty fast drive to the ferry terminal.

    so affter waiting 4 hrs to leave we finally got under way for our 3 day ferry ride to Haines, AK.

    so i just want to say that i saw some of the most breath taking views.... pretty much every turn we went around i had to take pics. the road for the most part wasnt to bad i have a bunch of pics so here are a few of them

    [​IMG] then we waited for over an hour to cross the border over into Canada.

    [​IMG] stopped in haines junction for the night, got a little cold. down to 1 degree.

    [​IMG] so the next day we started to drive and it didnt start off very good. the weather was poor but by the end of the day its turned out to bed beautiful. and the coldest it got down to was 4!!

    [​IMG] still cant believe how beautiful the landscape is

    [​IMG] pulling into anchorage

    stopped here for dinner one night. Man v Food went there.

    this was a good Red and one of alaskas top beers

    the road to homer, ak

    [​IMG] so the day started out nice but then is started to snow on us all the way to homer

    thanks guys its been a long trek and we still have a long way to go, we have been chilling in anchorage for the last couple days gana catch the next ferry out of Homer on the 25th. i still cant believe how beautiful the drive has been.
