    Hey guys,

Anyone ever fish for Cobia? This April their going to be passing off the coast of Charleston and figured it would be a perfect time to do some fishing for a couple days.

Anyone have any experiences to share about the fish or what to expect? Thanks!
    ~Dennis

we use a 6oz bucktail in all white or white/red tipped with squid for a little extra wiggle action. We usually ride around and look for surface cruisers. Stand out like a soar thumb. Look like a telephone pole in the blue water. They are a blast and put up one heck of a fight.:D Don't boat it until it's whooped if you have a smaller boat. They've got some gnarly spikes that shoot up along their dorsal ridge. they are small (less that 1 inch tall) but they'll tear the crap out of you.

I've seen guys use live eels for them also and small crabs. Mark Sosin had a show about catching cobia once, he was using eels doing the same method I discribed.
