I recently had exhaust installed on my 2017 3.5L and happeend to look under the truck the other day and notice a u shaped bend in the exhaust just before the exit tubes. Any idea if this 'should' be there, or why its there period? Seems counter intuitive to creating a less-restrictive setup. Apologies if this is common knowledge, I dont know much about exhaust.

    Picture below

    Thanks for any advice.

That is a kink bend. By-product of bending tubing without a mandrel bender.

It's a special bend used with Catbatch exhaust. :smack:

Technically, at the flow levels of his truck, no it won't. On a more preformance oriented setup, it would be leaving gains to be had.
