In the future, it might help if you shared this ^^^ in your first post rather than just posting a picture with no explanation or description.

Does it rattle around a lot? Considered doing an axle dump but assumed it would get annoying just hanging there.

Yeah, we figured it would rattle, so we welded our own hangers to it and used the factory hangers.IMG_20181213_094658912.jpg

I did this a long time back and the end results were not good.

The exhaust gasses caused a lot of rust on the frame and essentially cooked my spare, ruined a brand new 33” tire.

I got a 45 degree bend and some straight exhaust tubing and routed it over my spring behind the rear mud flap.

I was thinking of extending the outlet pipe, I don't like the drone while driving. I'm also going to add in a resonator, the muffler is boderline obnoxious. Do you have issues with the leaf springs contacting the pipe during up travel or no?

I just hacked mine off right where it started to cross the leaf spring. Didn't bother doing any other bending or welding.

Just throwing this out there - If you are running a camper shell, you may not want to end the exhaust under the truck...

I've had mine dumped in the same spot for almost 4 years now. I have down turn that goes down about 8-10 inches. I've never had any rattles and the drone is pretty minimal. The truck makes a lot more noise from other things than the exhaust will ever make.
I think I have the original muffler so it's fairly quiet.

I had the downturn go a little lower because I have an auxiliary fuel tank where the spare used to be and didn't want hot exhaust on my gas tank. Also, I needed to chop the exhaust to fit the aux tank.

Before I had the downturn put on and before I put the aux tank in I used an IR thermometer to take the temp of the shocks. The passenger shock would warm up as much as 100 degrees warmer than ambient and warmer than the other shock. 100 degrees probably isn't that much of a big deal for the shock but I figured for the cost of the down turn why not?

I'm thinking the only time this would be an issue is when you're in traffic and you probably have exhaust pipes closer to you and upwind from other cars.
    Does that seem reasonable?

I have yet to smell any exhaust fumes inside cabin, even with both the topper sliding glass and truck sliding windows open, or the left or right front windows open. Either in idle, at a drive-thru or while driving in town, or in mountains. It's a off brand muffler, so it is almost ricey sounding at WOT, but it is deep at idle and lower rpms, so I'm most likely going to add in a resonator.

I will throw a drive it and us an IR thermometer and check axle, shock and spare temps, just to see if outlet pipe extension is warranted though

Do you run the engine while you're sleeping in there?!

Yeah, I've ever smelled any sort of exhaust fumes while driving, unless it's from other vehicles.

As pray4surf mentioned it would likely be an issue if you have a camper shell, but ONLY if you make a habit out of running your engine while you're sleeping in the bed or something.
