Got my MBRP installed today at my local car shop and it's a major improvement over stock. It sounds very deep In the lower rpms and then comes alive at 3-4000 rpms almost like a baby V8. The shop guys all said that it sounded great as well and it had to be cut shorter too.

Overall a excellent deal for 200 for the aluminium and I coated it with fluid film to help prevent rust. I almost forgot cruising at highway speeds there is a small amount of drone but not annoying at all. It only gets loud when you get on the gas.

    I hghly recommend the MBRP.

I actually went with the MBRP 3" cat and I love it. No irritating drone, has a nice gargle sound when I'm easing off the throttle (usually in lower gear). Super easy to install too!

I have had TRD exhausts on every Toyota product I've owned: Scion TC, FRS, and now the Tacoma. With the cars I've ran everything under the sun trying to find the sound I wanted only to end up putting the TRD back on due to its quality and "daily-driverabilty" in terms of sound.

Although considerably more expensive than some other options I have to say that they always have a much louder yet very nice sound to them compared to stock, and are guaranteed to be legal. One piece welded stainless construction, warrantied, and for me it took one day to get from the dealer. I was even able to use a 15% off accessories coupon from the Costco Auto Buying program website which helped a bit.

In the end it's all super subjective and videos with anecdotal evidence really will not suffice if your a picky person like myself. Best to just buy something reputable/recommended and if you hate it, rip it off and try something else!

Do you have a larger than stock spare that fit with this side exit exhaust? I'm contemplating the high clearance for that reason, as my 255/85/16 might not fit underneath with the side exit. Thanks!

I have both the TRD CAI and CAT BACK exhaust. I like the sound and I don't get any droning. Other drivers have commented on the sound being good also.

Just installed the MagnaFlow Exhaust system (19293). Sounds good and not too loud. Hardest part was getting the old exhaust out of the rubber hangers.
