I've been trying to research more info on our exhaust system, but to no avail...

I'm wanting to switch up my OEM muffler for nice sounding Magnaflow. Yes, I know it's not an upgrade in-which will help performance, but I miss the nice deep growl my Jeep Wrangler made.

I'm trying to get an idea of what I need, (diameter), and how the heck it comes, off and the install? Last one I had for my Wrangler was a nice, easy clamp on muffler. No welding needed.

    Anyone have detailed info, please?

If you want easy bolt on, the magnaflow street series system catback will do that. Ive been happy with mine on my 4cyl. Its a 3" pipe back which i like.

    None
I guess you can build your own cat back exhaust system with a straight pipe into a 10'' diameter fart can at the end if you need more noise.

    Work in progress...
My experience, I would go to a muffler shop. I like to do things myself but it's hard to beat a local muffler shop.

My truck came to me with a magna flow exhaust with exhaust tips. It was actually too loud. I took off the exhaust tips and it sounds just right. Get a exhaust tip and see if it increases the noise to your liking before you do anything else. I was blown away how much extra sound came out due to the exhaust tips. Extremely obnoxious especially accelerating at highway speed. I could barely hear the radio.

I've done mine 4 times in the last 6 months.

    0. Stock - Sounded like my GF's Highlander - Couldn't tell if the dang truck was running...
    1. Unused 2.5" Magnaflow muffler from some previous project - Not loud enough.
    2. Unused 3.0" Aero from a my G35 - WAY too loud.
    3. Cheap garbage glass pack off Amazon, basically a straight tube, literally the inner tube not even perforated - Too loud and sounded like a ricer fart can
    4. Better quality glass pack, think Magnaflow - Not loud enough again, but better, can at least hear exhaust, mild growl.
    5. ---- TBD ----

my magnaflow catback system i cut off over the rear axle and welded on a black tip. On the highway it is loud in the cab, and its a 2.7. The system has a resonator in it too, still loud.

Not sure. Can tell you i gained some performance back that I lost after lift, tires and armor. The combination of cold air intake, catback exhaust, and throttle controller definitely helped.

Found a cat back Magnaflow system with resonator for $495 and couldn’t pass it up. Figured it would pay for itself in 2 years.
