Anyone in Colorado Springs done the exhaust reroute? I have the RCI tcase skid plate and I tore it off. Want to replace but I want to move the exhaust this time.

I was heading downhill and a trail that had been pretty calm and I went over a hidden drop pretty fast and crashed into it. It ripped it out of place on 1 side, so it wasn’t connected to the transmission skid plate anymore.

The cross member and plate was already pretty beat up from Mosquito Pass so that didn’t help. If I could do things over again I would’ve started with an exhaust reroute. The RCI standard plate hangs so low on a stock truck you’re guaranteed to catch stuff constantly. And when it hits since it is angle there is room for the rocks to push, they get leverage.

I’ll get aluminum again, but looking forward to a flat plate that’s way higher.

I’m in the Springs, but I went up to A A Performance Muffler in Denver to have mine done.

    They did a great job.

Ended up going to Muffler Masters and they did an amazing job. Just put on my new RCI skid plate for the exhaust reroute and it looks soooo good. Just gained 4 inches. If you are looking for a skid plate for the TCase do the exhaust rework first, don’t make the mistake I made.

Excellent information, thanks for posting. Have a 2018 OR with same skids and really need to do the reroute, will stop and talk with Muffle Master shortly. Just had the Tacoma "tuned" last week, so far the drive ability and shifting is fatastic, smooth, and responsive; it's the best mod to date for me.
    Cheers
