Going to be picking up BAMF skid plates next month (provided they're ready) and will need to get the exhaust reroute done for the transfer case plate. I've tried contacting a couple shops (including a shop up near BAMF that I saw recommended in another thread), but haven't gotten any responses. Can anyone make some suggestions for a place in the South Bay that will do a good job at a reasonable price? Thanks!

That's funny. I actually lived on Pomeroy until recently.

SpeedDee Mufflers! They have one in fremont and south SJ (2845 monterey hwy). They did a great job with replacing my original muffler with a flowmaster super 44

Yeah. But more west of El Camino (I think between Benton and Homestead?).

El Camino Muffler's at the corner of El Camino and Pomeroy? Are you thinking of Benton Auto Repair, on the north side of Benton at Lawrence? If so, I've had them do some "repairs" for me in the past, which... resulted in me having to buy a new vehicle.

Did you end up getting this done? If yes, who did you end up going with?

I'm planning on getting it done at the shop that @ian408 recommended (they quoted $125 IIRC), but was waiting for the skids to be ready before doing it. I'm picking them Thursday morning from BAMF, but now the shop isn't responding to my emails about scheduling. Going to have to give them a call tomorrow.

There is an exhaust shop down the street from BAMF that has done dozens of reroutes for the BAMF skids. Jeff at ABC muffler on E 2nd street in Benicia. I mean, if your up here picking up the skids...

I got mine done at El Camino Muffler. Really professional and my truck looks like stock but with better exhaust routing. Highly recommended.

I actually tried contacting Jeff at ABC, but they didn't respond to an email and didn't pick up the few times I tried calling. Anyway, I'm planning picking the skids up at 6AM and then heading straight to work in San Jose.

You might check out Milogen Fabrications in Milpitas too. Milo does amazing work. He's done a bunch of stuff for dudes around the forum. I don't know how busy he is these days - @DATZ WEAKSAUCE might know - but you can email him at milo@milogenfab.com if you haven't found a shop to do it yet.

I'm dropping it off at El Camino tomorrow morning. Said it'll be ready before the end of the day.

edit: I did talk to Jeff on the phone today. Had I been able to get Friday morning off, I would've had him do it, but, unfortunately, he's too busy tomorrow with previously scheduled work.

Yeah man, Jeff is like a local legend here. He is always busy. Always.

He actually has a jig setup for the BAMF skids. I had him make my tailpipe removable via a V-Band clamp setup just in case I get deep into the rocks. That way I can have a regular tailpipe w/tip so my exhaust routes away from the bed at camp. Don’t want to gas myself out of the tent while the truck is running. With the V-Band clamp, I can zip it off before I debt/bend it up on rocks or overhangs.
