Okay, so I may be opening a can of worms with this post since everybody has their own preferences to what they like brand-wise or opinions based purely on what they have installed on their vehicles...

    So…here goes.

I am wanting to replace the exhaust on my 2000 Tacoma 3.4L and I know that I won't be able to reproduce the sounds that a V8 produces when I am two cylinders short.

Basically I am looking at a cat back system that will give me the:

    A. best sound that a 3.4L 5VZ-FE 6 cylinder will produce.

    And

    B. Obviously the best performance…since I am still running the OEM restriction exhaust system.

    Let the games begin…

YouTube has a bunch of sound clips. That's gonna be your best bet since what I think sounds good vs what you think may be different. FWIW I have a magnaflow 18" on mine. All stock plumbing just replaced the muffler.

I would like the think my stainless JBA cutback gained me some performance and it sounds great. However, it's a rusty pos after 1 winter even after I ceramic coated it so I can't recommend it.

the standard I've noticed around here is the Magnaflow 18". Id be interested to see more on those Wicked Flow mufflers... ive only seen like 2 clips on a first gen, they sound decent and are cheap
