Exhaust tips

Guy,
I'm preparing to have my exhaust done and I am planning on getting the Jones Black exhaust tips, but they are 18 inches long. I am planning on having the dual pipes straight out of the back. I was wondering if anyone thinks thats to long? I can't go out to the truck and look because I'm in North Dakota on the rig and the truck is back home. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Why?

Looks redneck ghetto and what is installed (aluminized) pipe is inferior to what you have now.

You lose the ability to carry a spare (straight out the back)

If you are doing true dual it will sound like shit plain and simple.

You will also loose a bunch of down low grunt.

I don't know anything though

I personally like the way it looks. I had it on my 07 and was able to keep my spare because of the way they routed it. I'm not doing true dual because I don't like the loud sound. I'm keeping the stock mufflers I just like the way it looks.
