just thought i would give you guys a laugh here but 2 months ago when i installed a magnaflow muffler on my truck i decided to use exhaust clamps instead of welding, tonight as i was driving home it decided to fall off leaving a horrible straightpipe sound loud like hell. im a little disapointed in myself right now lol

I've had my magnaflow clamped for a year now. Been meaning to get it welded....you have motivated me even more.

How does it sound on there? Well, when it's attached, that is lol. Was thinking of getting exhaust for my old Scion but finding one that makes a 4cyl 1.5L sound -decent- with minimal rice sound is tricky. However, with the trucks bigger engine, it's worth looking into.

yup it adds more area for the sound levels to pass so in turn quitens it unless yu have a straight pie then you cant do any thing to make it quite.:D

Straight pipe works rather well if you want pure loud. Had a 88 Jeep Wrangler that was running straight pipe for a while. Everyone told me it sounded like a plane taking off lol (4.2L I6 w/ carb, btw). Ended up putting a Flowmaster catback on it. Was rather fond of it after that.
