Exploring New England's natural beauty - The waterfall tour/camping trip extravaganza! June 22- 24

Thanks, son is at scout yard sale, and I need to pick him up and probably move shit in my truck.

 

I also tried to convince the wife to head up to Moosehead for a night or so, got the list of reasons why we can't.

But I replied with this

Hahaha yes. Already saw. Well it would be great if you can out. We are at Lily state park?? Don't know if it's a day trip for y'all. I know you've had things going on so I understand. But treat yo self !

 

I mean all are welcome. We have a river front site . But you have to throw a frisbee. Kids ok.

 

DAM to bad im just a tad bit south, if I was only 20 more miles closer id make the trip for that samich

 

Skytop didn't happen.

I got to the entrance and thatst about it..

Mohonk attendant: you'll have to park you car in the lot and hike about 3 hrs to the top

We ended up in minnewaska preserve instead... Nice ride but holy crap it's hot out.

yeah...thought you knew that you couldn't drive up to skytop, plus you pay for each person to access the preserve. It's beautiful and all, but not on a day like today. Minnewaska with it's 'pay per car' admission was a better choice....plus access to the water if needed to cool off a little. Glad you guys had a good day! (or at least most of you)

 

Did alright. Only a snippet of today. Committed to that waterfall life

 

I would have liked to be at a waterfall today, but I probably would not have left until the end of the week when the temperature goes back down.

@mach1man001 hey I forgot to tell u next time you do a trip like the waterfall tour, maybe do a mountain peak tour...finish it off with Mt. Washington. Just an idea though, I don't even know how possible that is.

Wow, running pretty good there. That was before the storms too, right? The rivers are so sad here right now.
Another one on my list to check out in Umpachene Falls. Looks like a popular soaking area for people.
