It's my understanding that Cruiser Brothers is working on brackets to include mounting options for all Gen 2 and Gen 3 Tacomas. My last interaction with my contact indicated that they are working on the Long bed trucks.

Any news on fitment for longbeds? I have a 2012 AC cab and this is exactly what I was looking for.

    Thanks,

Why would it be any different than filling a corolla? You stick the pump in, turn it on and get back in your truck until it's done...

Added weight/reduced payload is one issue.

Another issue is how well this tank will hold up in northern (read road salt, ice, moisture, snow, slush) environments. I'm sure in Australia and in the western US, a metal tank will work just fine. Here in the northeast, everything metal on the vehicle's chassis tends to rust given time...I just don't know what durability testing, if any, has been conducted for northern climates.

Also, does the metal tank add fuel filter maintenance requirements? OEM tank is plastic and the fuel filter requires little to no maintenance. Does that change if the fuel tank is an aftermarket metal?

7 jerry cans in the bed, 20 in the tank, and a siphon hose for me.

Any updates on how these are holding up? Any maintence issues? Also any others running these in CA? Wanted to doublecheck there wouldn't be a smog or CARB issue.

been running mine for over 2 years now. last time it was smogged they didnt say anything, but you never know. my only issue is the burping of fuel when filling, but thats been fixed in the newer versions.
i will say if the fuel pump goes bad it will suck to drop it, as its a big tank. but the positives outweigh the negatives.

They won’t install it on a CA-registered vehicle. But they might sell it to an address outside CA...

had an aux tank decades ago that had real fuel cell foam inside to prevent sloppy sloshing/shifting

baffles work tho the cell material is better

no less the tank was same as OEM & rated
