Has anyone relocated their rear backup camera but had to extend the wiring harness? For instance locating to the top of a camper cap?

Can it be done with a simple cut, crimp female and male connectors and add (for instance 1ft) of wiring?

    OR

Will I run into a resistance issue and the video won't appear on my rear view mirror ?

    Any help would be appreciated

Extending them a couple feet won't be an issue( give yourself a little extra wire, just in case). Make sure to test it right after you extend them, after that you can mount it.

Where do you buy the extra wiring? I am needing to run more wiring to my swing out.
