    Hey guys,

    Got a weird situation that hopefully is an easy fix. Got a new house and all outlets inside the house work, but every exterior outlet doesn’t. So all the outlets in the garage, the one outside my front door and the one outside my back door have no power. I’ve switched all the breakers the other day and it still doesn’t work. Any ideas?

    Check the circuit breaker box, sub panel or gfci ???? Those are where I would start.
    @TXpro4X4 Any ideas?

    Not enough...
    Have to go with what @JaCado said too. My GFCI outlet on upstairs patio controls all outlets in my garage.... Shit be weird.

    One of the outlets, on the exterior circuit, should have a gfci reset button.

    GFIC’s are notorious for crapping out in wet environments so they may be kaput. Get a GFIC tester at Home Depot and test them.

    Years ago copper was cheaper and so it cost less to run long lines of wire from the GFI to the exterior plugs. Today the GFIs are cheaper than copper so it depends on how old the house is as to where they may be. In my old home the GFI in the middle bathroom also controls the other bathroom and patio exterior plug. Like 23Skidoo says, check for a exterior GFI. Also look in your panel for a breaker GFI to the exterior plugs.

    [IMG] I agree with 23Skidoo...

    Our last rental house before we bought this one had a GFCI in the garage that controlled all the outside outlets. Luckily I saw the garage fridge was not on and reset it.

    Depends where the House is it might not even have GFIC outlets none around me have any.

    One of the breakers might have been borrowed to run something new and the unused outside outlets disconnected.

    No Sub panel in the Garage ??

    Thanks for all the help guys, found the culprit. There was an outlet behind my water softener that was tripped. Reset and all outlets are working now!
