Just got a 2020 trd offroad. I’m narrowed down on the Matte black F5s or Ray 10s (if I can get em).
I’m running stock suspension. The 16x8 ray 10s will be out in a few weeks (sold out of the 17x8.5). I’m considering them with a 265/75/16 tire
    OR
Because they are such a simple design and clean looking the 17x8.5 F5s with a 265/70/17 tire. Some less side wall. More attention to the wheel. (not opposed to getting 16s but I have options w the F5)

I will Not be lifting my truck, it’s cement gray and I hardly go off-roading. Mainly used on the street. Any opinions on which wheel is more appealing I’m jammed up between the two. Such a big decision.

50th state The 17 are sold out in what id get the 17x8.5, any reason you say the 17 over 16? Is it that big of a diff in looks for the 2020s?

For me it’s more of a look thing I always liked the look of 17” over 16” rims especially if your gonna stay near stock height and mainly drive on pavement but on the other hand if your planning to off-road every weekend I would say go with 16” with more rubber on the sidewall

Cool. I appreciate the input and giving the rationale. Gonna wait to see if others chime in. Literally on the fence. The black F5s I think in 17 could look Real Clean on a cement tacoma. The ray 10s are also just bad ass looking.

Yea I’m down w the ray 10s I just can’t do the gunmetal. It’s cool. I’d def Rock gunmetal on a black trd. Cement I just like the contrast of the black.

Not F5 but my works are a similar design you can get a perspective of how your truck will look like with all black wheels in 17”

Look hasn't changed since 2016 lol. Last time I checked Freeman Toyota still had some 17's left, you could also ask Monroe at Michael's Bellvue Toyota that stocks them as well. 16's are better off road, more options for lighter weight all terrains in 17's. Both the sizes you mentioned will rub slightly in certain situations on stock suspension, but 99% of the time you'll be fine with no rub.

Yep, no problem! One is WA and one TX so you might eat some on shipping but they usually have some sets in stock.

Thanks crisp. I think I’m definitely settling for the Ray 10s and it appears 17s I just now have to decide what looks better off the cement matte black or Gunmetal Canadian Joe’s crawled into my head and is stomping around.

Cement is hard man, bronze is eh, black is nice, classic but kinda overplayed, gunmetal im on the fence because it can almost be washed out or like you were trying to match, but couldnt. Awesome color but so hard when it comes to wheels besides black.

Depends on how much you like cleaning your wheels when you wash your truck. I like my F5’s cause they are easy to clean and look great still.

True taco. It is tough. I like the F5s but at least w the Rays w the beadlock it dresses it up and breaks it up some. I was leaning black from the word go. I think ur right. Black Ray 10s 17x8.5 w 265/70/17s. Now I just got to find them lol. I emailed those dealerships. Gonna sleep on it.

I was running 265/75/16 cooper AT3s on my 2004 off road that I still have. Gotta see what id get in 265/70/17. Maybe the at3s run that size idk. I mainly due all driving On Road minimal off road so I need an all terrain tire but still does the truck justice.
