I've had 35's for years with our one single problem.

A friend of mine insists on welding the db to the frame. Bolting doesn't seem to bother me too much, though I had considered support welds in the past.

Seems like a pretty good idea to help with strength.

Elite Fab front bumper, 6" fab tech lift, deck mod, rear diff ext, warn winch m8000, Looking for Ideas on rear Bumper
Just found this thread now, bit late but figured I'd post anyways. I had a 03 ext cab with the heavy duty ome springs, built right uca's,elite fab bumper and a m 8000 winch, I loved it but did find the ride very very stiff. I had some heavy duty skids on it and seemed pretty solid, I ran 285.70 17 km2's with it.I just sold it last week becasue I bought an 02 double cab. The only reason I sold the truck was for working(hunting guide) I needed to have back seats. The double cab came with a 6" fabeteck db lift and 35's. I switched my bumper battery and winch over and imo looks badass. I didn't measure ground clearance on either truck but it seems with the 35's I have about the same as the 3" which is mostly becasue of the tires. Ill post some pics tomorrow of both the trucks I find the 6" looks better imo and the rides seem a bit better, I haven't been able to offroad it hard yet but time will tell if it will survive. Sorry for the novel haha just thought i throw in my 2 cents

i was going to get a 3'' but i want my cv's and other things to be as close to stock as possible. i want it to last cuz i plan on keeping truck a long time and dont wana replace things so it seems smarter to spend the extra $$ on DB lift. i drive "off road" every day on gravel and muddy roads but i do not do any ''rock crawling'' or abusing.. so i think the DB is perfect if u wana save ur angles and dont rock crawl.. im with sulos i dont wana beat up my 30K truck.. i want it to last

They're ok but the drop bracket just takes out so much clearance IMO

I measured mine against a someone at my school who has a 3", there isn't any significant different. May depend on the db though...

Ya that's why I don't come on this site that much anymore. Many guys are a bit arrogant, the know it all type. There are many different components out there that will tweak your truck out for you just the way you need it. DB has worked more than fine for me. I'll try to snap some pics too for the comparision.

I get what you are saying, I think its as retarded as much as you do. But someone w/ a prerunner can still use a DB lift to get the 6'' of lift.

Can you get 6'' of lift with coils/spindles?
