Dude, you could have found diff mounts like brand new instead of buying from dealer. Looking forward to the build.

Oh...so we need to start a ex dB bs thread. All that's left are mall crawlers and like two that actually wheel

Hahaha he joins us after all....

Duuuude...I completely struck out on finding anything in salvage yards around here, I even registered my parts needs with an automated system a lot of the salvage yards use and got zero hits ...that was a painful $

I thought the same about shops out here and found out they toss everything customers don't take home daily / weekly. I even talked to a local 4WP mgr and he put the word out for me about a cross member section, diff brackets and spindles and got nothing...

I've already received a couple of PM's about all of the parts I will be selling from my truck. A couple of members already have first dibs on my rear set up and front CO's and I will let everyone know if they will be available. My Dirt King uppers and lowers will be up for sale too along with the DB kit which I will let go very cheap. Prices and pics will be posted next week but PM me with any interests...I really need to sell this stuff I went deep $ on this new build...

DOH! Shit just got real for Jason...and I'm still stuck in the cross hairs of the DB haters club! :goingcrazy: It's all good. We're all still Tacoma brothers. I'll still keep building and wheeling (read as spending mucho dinero) and having fun!

See what you can get for it mang! I'm sure you could also sell off some things like the armor. If you didn't sell the old coilovers put those on and sell the icons

If it's paid off don't sell it just use your cash to build the SAS , if you pick up a new truck payment that will seriously cut into mod funds...that's why I kept my 06' and just rebuilt it.

If that's the case when you get to Idaho put it up on stands and buy a cheap DD.
Sell off the front case, shocks and every you don't need. Lots of scrap yards in Idaho to start the hunt for axles. No need to go crazy from the get go like Mark.

Ouch Jason, wish you would have hit me up! Had all my diff mounts, knuckles, and even the section chopped from the cross member. Cant wait to see how you patched it up. So if anyone else is going to get on the train of DB removal lemme know! I may buy a guesset kit for the knuckles and weld those up for someone going MT or LT and wants to save some down time

What setup are you guys with plate bumpers running and keeping at the same amount of lift?
Currently running Maxtrac 4" spindles w/ 5100s at 1.85" (or 1.75"?) and a 1/4" top plate spacer which puts me at a little under 6.5" lift.
I'm planning on getting a plate bumper here soon and will need to upgrade the coils.

I'm thinking OME 886x (1.75" per HSOffroad) on the 5100s at 0 with the 4" spindles which would put me at roughly.. 5.75" and the plate bumper will drop it at least a 1/2" putting it at about 5.25"

I want to keep at 6.5-7" of lift in the front with the plate bumper on.

How could I get the additional 1.5-2" of lift besides a spacer?

    Any input would be appreciated!

886s are for +200 lbs and I assume the 887s are more.

I'm really not qualified to answer this though. I hate spacers cause the functional offroader in me see's them as a hazard.

On headstrong it says the 886s are rated for double cab w/ plate bumper. Which is why I'm choosing those

Can anyone attest to how much lift the 886s give before & after a plate bumper install?
HS says will provided 1.75" of lift, but my buddy said they're designed to do a full 3".
